Standing back, knowing which side of the cross we are looking from, knowing our position as heirs - let us now consider the whole of the book of Haggai.
Haggai means "Festive".
He is one of the last prophets prophesying to the Jews upon their return from Babylon, encouraging them to continue rebuilding the temple.
Maybe we'll never stop ...
Although fulfilled in Messiah יהושע prophecy, in the true Hebrew sense, has a reoccurring side to it and thus also speaks to the second coming of Messiah יהושע

But let us look at the last verse that truely sums up the
message of mr. Festive:
Hag 2:23 In that day, saith the LORD of
hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith
the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the
LORD of hosts."
What is God saying?
As new testament heirs He is anointing us with His Gospel of Grace saying (translation in brackets):
In that day - the glorious day on the cross, He the Almighty
God of all power, will take you [us], Zerubabel [seed from Babylon - us born in
the confusion - of mixture between truth and deception, Grace and law...] His
servant [speaking of those with a heart toward Him] the sons and daughters of
Shealtiel [called of God] - all of us cleansed by the Blood of His Son and He
will make us His treasured possession - a sign onto all, a light on a hill, a
seal on a ring... the feast between a bride and a Groom! Christ in us the Hope
of Glory!
Oh beloved, do you see?
This is marriage-talk!
This is festive talk!
This is festive talk!
HalleluYAH!
