Someone asks the question:
Is this new "hyper grace" movement OK?
Mmmmm, well firstly, it is not new ... and ...
Well, let's see. We know that Grace is God's unmerited,
unearned favour ... He has a Name - Jesus!
Hyper?
Hyper means beyond great, beyond measure.
So, it
would be very scriptural to be in hyper-Grace (hyper-Jesus).
But ... does scripture actually say this?
Paul says in Rom 5:20-21:
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might
abound. But where sin abounded, grace [Charis] did much more abound
[huperperisseuō] :
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might
grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
How then does Grace present Himself?
Grace abounds in hyper-form. The Greek word is huperperisseuō. And it means to exist beyond measure, abound exceedingly, to overflow, to enjoy abundantly.
And they go together
Paul says: And the grace of our Lord was exceeding
abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 1Ti 1:14
Aren't you soooo overjoyed that you have received a cloak of
righteousness?
Aren't you soooo glad that you received favour and love and blessings ...
... in what quality and quantities?
Beyond measure!
Super abundantly!
In hyper amounts and sizes!
Aren't you soooo overjoyed that you are in His Hyper-Grace?
