Suffering? paschō?

Ever heard of paschō?

Are you sure?!

The Greek word that we translated as "suffering" ... and interpreted to mean "undergo pain and sorrow" is paschō. Many of us fall for this deception ...

But what does the word actually say? Do we have to suffer bad things?

Paul says in Phi 1:29: "For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to SUFFER for his sake"

Looking at a concordance and using the same freedom of translation that the initial translators used, we could just as easily and even better translate the word "paschō" to mean:
To be affected or have been affected,
to feel,
have a sensible experience,
to undergo in a good sense,
to be well off,
have like-same passion,
to be likewise affected.

WoW!

In other words, how was Jesus affected?

He rose from the grave and was given power and glory as the Beloved Son of God! This also is our inheritance!

There are some that will look at this and say "Yes brother, but in the same way Jesus had to go through suffering, we also have to so that He may be glorified by this." - what absolute nonsense! It sounds like religious teaching!

Those who promote this viewpoint grossly deny the complete and full price of Jesus' suffering on the cross and esteem themselves to such position where they are of the opinion that they can add in some way to what He has done. Preposterous! This is a serious misguidance and prideful attitude!
His Grace is enough!

Let's read the above verse with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in line with the character of YHVH with the Good News of the Cross:

"For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to feel like He does with compassion and love and mercy and long-suffering and goodness, to be affected and like-minded like He is affected by the people around us and their needs for his sake"

Yeah! This glorifies Him!

... and now the rest of Philippians 2:1-5 also makes a lot of sense:

v 1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ,
if any comfort of love,
if any fellowship of the Spirit,
if any bowels and mercies,

v 2 Fulfil ye my joy,
that ye be likeminded,
having the same love,
being of one accord,
of one mind.

v 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory;
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

v 4 Look not every man on his own things,
but every man also on the things of others.

v 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus

He did ALL the suffering on the cross for you so that you don't have to!

Be passion-filled, instead!

Ooooh, u r sooooo blessed!

HalleluYAH!
