Let us consider the Gifts and Calling of God: 

Rom 11:29:

"For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance."

Does God repent? So, what is repentance?

The Greek word simply means to turn yourself in your decision, in other words, your thinking, your mind-set. What Romans 11:29 says is that God will never turn on what He provided - His Good and Perfect Gifts in your life and the calling He has for you (if you are still not sure about your calling click here)

What is the Gift?

Rom 6:23 "...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

What is the calling of God?

The calling is the Good News:

2Ti 1:8-10:

v 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

v 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

v 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

For this He has given us a Spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2Ti 1:7

His purpose for us in this?

Paul got it! - Rom 1:16:

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
