Righteousness-one of Christ,Reading from this side of the glorious cross of our Jesus
let's contemplate how Psalm 111 ends [I extend translation in brackets]:
Psa 111:9-10:
v 9 He sent redemption [ransom, root word meaning to meet,
to come or be in front, to be before -talking about relationship] unto his
people: he hath commanded his covenant [pledge, alliance, treaty, friendship]
for ever: holy and reverend [ ירא]
[yârê] is his name.
v 10 The fear [ יראה]
[ yirâh] of the LORD [YHVH] is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding
have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
... that brings us to a little bit of Hebrew:
The word "reverend" (yârê) [ירא] properly translated
means: to stand in awe (awesome), in astonishment (amazing), honour, awe-struck-reverence.
However, what happens when we add Grace (the Hebrew symbol for Grace is the Hey or ה)?
The "ה"
or hey is the Hebrew picture for Grace - an open window. When added to the
beginning of the word [ירא], reading from right to left (in Hebrew), we get יראה or yirâh - with the same
root word and the same meaning but in application form - it now becomes a verb - to revere (fear).
HalleluYAH! It is
more than just a simple translation into the word "fear".
So, by His Grace added we are able to stand in absolute awe
and astonishment and honour of His Great Pledge!
What is His Great Pledge?
You'd be surprised to learn that the Hebrew pictograph for YHVH
[ יהוה] reads: "the
Hand by Grace nailed by Grace"
Who is this?
None other than JESUS! HIS pledge! HALLELUYAH!
We stand in awe and reverence - beholding Him, nailed to the
cross for our righteousness sake, for the sake of our abundant blessings, our
healing, prosperity, ... for us to have intimacy with Him! Amen! HIS pledge!
