Do you know how to WAIT upon the Lord?

"But they that wait upon the LORD ..."

Ever heard how someone abused the phrase to "wait" upon the Lord ... with an interpretation picturing someone waiting for a bus or train ... a kind-of fatalistic wait,  without any choice, without any say, without any freedom,  without taking into consideration of your circumstances, ... a desperate, hopeless wait ... because, so you are told, God is in control and who knows what He will do?

Ever heard this preached?

Have you?

Well, that is not at all what the Word of God teaches!

The Hebrew word used for waiting upon God is "qâvâh" rather meaning:
to be bound together with God,
to think as He thinks towards you, look for,
to hope upon God,
to expect and look eagerly for, to collect,
to bind together,

So, let's align ourselves with what God says we should bind (agree with Him or wait with Him) ourselves!

YHVH says He sees you without spot or blemish, made righteous, blessed in every area of your life, in abundance of His goodness, sanctified and holy, a co-heir in His Kingdom - His beloved!

That is what He says about you and about me!

That is what I bind myself to!

That is my expectation even in my circumstances!

Now we can read Isaiah 40 with new Godly insight!

Isa 40:28-31 KJV
v 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

v 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

v 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

v 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I am bound to His goodness and kindness and everlasting love .... and so are you!
