1 Corinthians 13 is a perfect description of Jesus!
Does it have a shadow in the scriptures of the old covenant?
You can read the whole of this love chapter by substituting Love's other Name wherever the word "love" or "charity" (KJV) is used with the Word "Jesus".
It makes a whole lot of sense if you do, doesn't it?
So, let's focus on the very description of what exactly "Love" is in verses 4 to 8:
"Love suffereth long,
and is kind;
love vaunteth not itself,
is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly,
seeketh not her own,
is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things,
believeth all things,
hopeth all things,
endureth all things.
Love never faileth ..." 1Co 13:4-8
What a perfect description of our Jesus!
Cross-checking in the old covenant:
"And יהוה passed by before him, and proclaimed, יהוה ,יהוה-El, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth" Exo 34:6
What a match!
Jesus is perfect love.
Abba Abba is perfect love. (Also see here)
They are One-and-the-same!
Jesus said He and Abba is one. John 17:21
"... the love of God, which is in [by] Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom 8:39
Cross-checking:
"Hear, O Israel: יהוה is our Elohim, יהוה is one יהוה" Deu 6:4
Uwaah!
Glory to Jesus!
