So many times have I heard people saying that it was Jesus who allowed some devastating event to happen in our lives so that that person could grow in faith and emerge a stronger person.
That is sick!
That is agreeing with the devil and at the same time attributing the characteristics of the devil to God.That is sick!
Sick and twisted!
We ought to confess (homologeō) Jesus and Him only! That means to agree with who exactly He is and not some church interpretation of who He is.
Romans 10:9 says that if thou shalt confess (homologeō) with thy mouth the Master Yahushua, and shalt believe in thine heart that יהוה hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Who is Jesus?
... the One who came to give us each and every good and perfect precious gift!
... the One who came to destroy sickness
... the One who came to destroy sickness
... the One who came so that we can have life in abundance
... the One who came to destroy all the works of the devil
The works of the devil?
It is the devil who kills, steals and destroy!
When Jesus read Isaiah 61 in the synagogue, He read about Himself:
The Spirit of יהוה is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of יהוה. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Luk 4:18-21
Fulfilled!
This is Who He is ... exactly what Peter confessed:
This is Who He is ... exactly what Peter confessed:
Yahushua went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say [legō - affirm, lay forth, relate] that I am? And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, EliYah; and others, One of the prophets. And he saith unto them, But whom say [legō - affirm, lay forth, relate] ye that I am? And Kepha answereth [apokrinomai - concluding for oneself, in response] and saith [legō - affirm, lay forth, relate] unto him, Thou art the Messiah. Mar 8:27-29
What did Peter do?
He was saying that Jesus was the exactness of God Himself - Messiah. He concluded for himself and affirmed in precise terms Who Jesus is by agreeing (confessing - homologeō) with Jesus!
Confess (homologeō) is to homo (be the same or of the same opinion) logos word - thus, to be of the same word, to be of the same word (agree) with the Word Himself!
Look at Him:
... I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Mat 11:29
... I have compassion on the multitude, ... Mat 15:32
... And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. Mar 1:41
... And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. Joh 17:26
In Him is not a hint of evil!
Christ is meek and gentle ... 2Co 10:1
Christ is called THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Jer 23:6
Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Joh 1:17
... why don't we rather confess the Truth?
... why don't we rather confess the Truth?
