Look and be saved

Sometimes it's just better to sit and enjoy ...

... especially when something is already done!

Stand back, behold ... take it in and receive what is accomplished.

Why do we find it so hard?

Can you remember our post on beholding?

Behold, this post is not that much different.

There is absolutely nothing you can or have to do to get saved and overcome, in the full sense of the word .... accept looking, beholding ... receiving ...

What then does it mean to behold?

The word in Hebrew for look (behold) is pânâh which means to turn towards, to face, to mark, to behold. (The Greek New Testament equivalent is repent, Metanoia - see our post here)

The Hebrew word-picture for pânâh or פּנה is speak life by Grace

Can you see it?

It is what Paul says ... if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:9

But the whole picture was beautifully seen in advance by the prophet Isaiah (Isa 45:22-25):

Look (pânâh or פּנהunto me, and be ye saved,

all the ends of the earth: for I am El, and there is none else.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return,

That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Surely, shall one say, in יהוה have I righteousness and strength:

even to him shall men come;

and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

In יהוה shall all the seed of Israel be justified,

and shall glory.
