The crowns of Yahshua

The Word explains the Word.

... to the extent that you will stand perplexed ...

... and be utterly astonished of how that even the word-pictures testify and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Out of the miry clay

The prophet Zechariah (remembered by Yahveh) speaks so beautifully and eloquently about the Grace of God - Jesus.

Zechariah also prophesied about God's elect (us), who was freed from Babylon (confusion-by-mixture, the miry clay), describing an amazing picture of a crown (ăṭârâh or עטרה - encircled or crowned with the pictograph: revelation surrounded by the Highest in Grace) for the head of Yah'shua (Jesus).

Join me as I share my own astonishment
on how accurately scripture describes and depicts scripture, as I draw heavily on the Hebrew word-pictures and provide comments for this post [in brackets].

Let's read first

So, let's read Zechariah 6:9-15 first and then I'll expound in brackets ...

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;

Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;

And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.

And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

Lots of words and names here ... and prophecies. So, what does it all say?

Let's expound

And the word [Yah'shua, remember our post on dâbâr?] of the LORD [YHVH] came unto me, saying,

Take of them of the captivity [those once in bondage, Babylon],
even of Heldai [even those focused on the worldly stuff],
of Tobijah [even those aware on YHVH's goodness],
and of Jedaiah [even those knowledgeable of YHVH],
which are come from Babylon [those coming out from a state of confusion-by-mixture],
and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah [a place where YHVH supports, lifts up]
the son of Zephaniah [whom YHVH treasures];

Then take silver and gold, and make crowns [crowns are ăṭârâh or עטרה meaning to be encircled or crowned and the word-picture is: revelation surrounded by the Highest in Grace],
and set them upon the head of Joshua [crown Yah'shua, Jesus]
the son of Josedech [YHVH is righteous],
the high priest [...forever after the order of Melchizedek];

Power in the spoken Word

And speak ['âmar or אָמַר meaning to  say, answer, declare, demand and the word-picture is: the authority of the blood of the Almighty]
unto him, saying ['âmar],
Thus speaketh ['âmar]
the LORD of hosts, saying ['âmar],
Behold [see this previous post] the man whose name is The BRANCH [tsemach or צֶמַח meaning sprout or spring forth and word-picture: catch the blood that fences you off];
and he shall grow up out of his place,
and he shall build the temple [a temple not build by the hands of man, Acts 7:48] of the LORD:

The Temple?

Even he [talking about Jesus] shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Now for the crowns ...

And the crowns shall be to Helem [to dream, be in good liking, to unite],
and to Tobijah [to whom YHVH is good, pleasant],
and to Jedaiah [to whom YHVH is known],
and to Hen [Grace, favour]
the son of Zephaniah [whom YHVH treasures]
for a memorial [zâkar - as a mark, as a remembrance]
in the temple [hêykâl  הֵיכָל meaning open space, a palace and the word-picture - weapon of the open hand of the Highest] of the LORD.

... the temple He built, for His glory, where He sits and rules in peace

You are a weapon in the Hand of God

And they that are far off [in Babylon]
shall come and build in the temple of the LORD [they shall come and learn from you],

and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.
And this shall come to pass,
if ye will diligently obey [shâma‛ - hear]
the voice [the Word of God, Jesus] of the LORD your God.

You are a weapon in the Hand of God, a dream of the liking, the goodness ad pleasantness of God, known by Him through His Grace (Jesus), His treasured possession - remind yourself of that!
