The Word from beginning to end!

The word in Greek for the Word of God is Logos. It actually means the logic, the reasoning, the calculating, the matter, the essence, the account, the reason, the cause, the explanation of God.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Joh 1:1
Jesus is the very reason of God. He is the full explanation of God. He is the logic and matter that is God. He is the very object and cause of God!

Isn't this just mind-blowing?.

Not only is He the reason for our existence and purification and justification and holiness ... He is also the very object of our affection, as we are His first. He is the very person upon whom all our sicknesses, troubles, shortages, relationship problems, our inabilities, inferiority, insecurities, deficiencies and lacks were taken to be dealt with once and for all!

Oh, the Greek is such an eloquent language!

But, if the Word was God from the beginning, then what does the Hebrew say?

Let's consider the interesting wordplay of Jeremiah chapter 1:

"Then the word [Hebrew dâbâr דָּבָר: the matter, the cause, the affair, business, the case,  the message, the reason, the tidings, the sign, the explanation ... with pictograph: the door to the house is the highest person (Jesus)] of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Jer 1:4-5

Didn't Jesus say in John 10:9  "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."?

How beautiful is the Hebrew pictograph above then?

God says to the young Jeremiah that before time was (remember John 1:1?), He knew him (Jeremiah) and that no matter what will happen (because He knows), He will be with him and speak His words in his mouth.

And what did Paul say? How close is Jesus (the Word) to you?
"The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart" Rom 10:8
How awesome and prophetic is this of the very same position that we are in today, having the Holy Spirit in us speaking the very Word of God through us.

But, it doesn't stop there. Because Jeremiah is told by God how to reign in this world!

As Jeremiah protests, again and again he also explains how Jesus comes to him (the Word of the LORD came upon me - verses 2, 4, 11, 13), God comforting the young prophet saying:
  • I have put my words [dâbâr דָּבָר: Jesus] in thy mouth Verse 9
  • I will hasten my word [dâbâr דָּבָר: Jesus] to perform it Verse 12
  • I will utter [dâbâr דָּבָר: Jesus] my judgments against them touching all their wickedness Verse 16
Don't find a lame excuse:
"But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak [dâbâr דָּבָר: Jesus]." Jer 1:7
To do what? To rule and reign in this world over the princes and principalities!
"See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant." Jer 1:10
How?

Just ...
"... gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak [dâbâr דָּבָר: Jesusunto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them." Jer 1:17
Because ... His Word is in you, you are invincible:
"For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land." Jer 1:18
"And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee." Jer 1:19
So, looking again at the Door of who we are, Peter says it well referring to Jesus as the entrance, the beginning of our tenure, when he says in 2 Peter 1:11:
"For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."
Truely, Jesus the Messiah is the Word Who was from before time was, Who became flesh and dwelt among us. Who administered such a great salvation for us, rose from the grave and restored us in the position God intended for us when He exclaimed having created us in His very image: "and let them have dominion" Gen 1:26.

Just speak the Word!

Just speak [dâbâr דָּבָר: Jesus] the Word [dâbâr דָּבָר: Jesus]!

Apply Jesus!

His word is stead fast and reliable because the Word is Jesus and true until the very end:
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." Mat 24:35

To Yah'shua, Jesus be the blessing, the power, the glory and the honour forever and ever.
Amen!
