Charitoō to gush out His Love!

Romans 5:5 says
"... the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
The Strong concordance explains this Greek word, ekcheō, as meaning: to pour forth; to bestow: - gush (pour) out, run greedily (out), shed (abroad, forth), spill.

I think we can agree that this is not a normal pouring-out or accidental spill.

It is an abundant, full-blown gush of the Holy Spirit ... a greedily and eagerly pouring into the cup - the cup running over! And it is God's desire to completely fill you with His love so that you will keep running over and running over and running over ...

Let me tell you: you are made ready to receive this abundant out-pour.

Because you are highly favoured by God!

There is a very special word that appears only twice in the entire Word of God.

Once where the angel Gabriel appears to a certain Mary, a virgin espoused to a man from the house of David (beloved) ... and calls her highly favoured (charitoōLuk 1:28

She is immediately awestruck by the angel's salutation because it is a very unusual salutation.

Highly favoured!

The Angel explains: Luk 1:30 Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour [charis -Grace] with God.

charis (Grace, God's unmerited favour, Jesus) is the Greek root word for charitoō (highly favoured by God).

It makes sense. It is understandable as the angel goes on to explain how she would conceive and bring forth a Son, Jesus. Indeed, Highly Favoured!
No one could argue. Mary was Highly Favoured!

... there remains only one other instance where God calls someone highly favoured (charitoō) ... and we need to take special cognizance of this instance and whom it is meant for ...

Secondly: in Ephesians God, through Paul, reveals His beautiful work explaining how He has chosen us, predestined us, adopting us according to the good pleasure (charis: unmerited favour - Grace) by Jesus Christ to Himself ... and then the mind-blowing part:
Eph 1:6  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Note the word "accepted".

The word is used in this sense for you and me! HalleluYAH! It means that you and I have been made accepted to God by the Beloved, King of Grace, Jesus Himself!

But get this! The word used here in the Greek is the very same word charitoōhighly favoured, used for Mary - the woman chosen, predestined to give birth to the Saviour and Redeemer of the whole world, Grace Himself!

... so that the shedding abroad, abundantly and in overflowing fashion of His love, His Grace, His joy, His Peace, His very Holy Spirit can be done into your heart to transform you from a living soul into a living Spirit!

Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

... so that we may answer in all earnest like Mary Luk 1:38 ... be it unto me according to thy word!

Are you in agreement?

Following the marriage, the bride is taken to a new home. But this home is much more than just a house. It is a city ... a beautiful city filled with His marvelous light for the bride to behold.

Rev 21:23-27
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

This is the Word of Truth we confess [homologeō - to say the same homo is the same and logos is the Word]

Close Friend

There is a friend that sticks by you closer that a brother. This is Jesus!
Pro 18:24 says: ... there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Friendship says:
  • I'll be your friend through good and bad
  • I'll be your friend in spite of the wrongs you may or may not do
  • I'll care for you and you do not have to buy my friendship
  • I'd like to be ever so close to you and spend time with you
  • do things, speak things, decide things and go with you
  • just be with you

How is friendship forged?

Friendship comes about through intimate relationship, getting to know each other and having mutual trust and faith in one another ... much like Abraham and God:
Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
The Hewbrew word for friend here is אהב or 'âhab (pronounced aw-hab' and not to be confused with king Ahab or אחאב pronounced Achab and meaning brother of my father). 'âhab is a primitive root meaning to have affection for, to love or be loved, to like or be liked, friend.

And get this! The Hebrew pictograph for "a friend אהב that sticketh closer than a brother" depicts the following: "power by Grace in the house enters (door) the house back (deeper) (than) power fenced".

Remember that: Grace = Jesus

Power fenced is Babylon power. Something that can not be used or which is restricted and limited, i.e. power without freedom that is power without Grace - the power (to have dominion) fenced by the enemy when Adam gave it away - unbelief or believing a lie about yourself.

And then something wonderful, something beyond our natural thinking and comprehension of absolute love happened and Abba Abba sent His only begotten Son to break down ALL fences. In Jesus He openly demonstrated His Ahabah Fatherly love אהבה for us, He died on a cross taking our sins on Himself and was raised again because of our righteousness. He breathed His Spirit right into us, Anointed us and lives inside and through us!

How close can you get?

Jesus promised and said: I will never leave your nor forsake you! Hebr 13:5

Jesus says He no longer calls us servants, but friends אהב. John 15:15

He sticks to us ... closer than a brother - Rom 10:8  But what saith it? The word [Jesus] is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

He is our Faith. He is our Friend!

... closer than a brother!

Inherited Authority to rule! Part 1

Why did Jesus come to earth as a human being and not as God?

We are going to deal with this question in the next couple of posts because it forms part of the very essence of God’s will and His restoration of power and authority.

Healing: nurturing faith ... or unbelief

I recently recalled an encounter with someone who was quite upset being told that if the person he prayed for wasn't healed, the problem was with him praying.

He was to be blamed for harboring unbelief while the afflicted person had nothing to do with the healing not manifesting. Well, as you can see there is quite a bit of self-condemnation going on for the person who really prayed from a compassionate heart.

Doctrine, oh doctrine of man ...

All that remained was for this prayer warrior to throw in the towel ...
